Chesapeake Search Partners is working with a premier residential design-build firm to identify a talented Landscape Architect / Designer to join their growing team in the McLean, VA area. This individual will play a key role in designing and delivering high-end residential outdoor environments, including luxury gardens, outdoor living spaces, and custom landscape solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative, high-end residential landscape projects from concept through execution
• Conduct site analysis, surveys, and assessments to identify design opportunities and constraints
• Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and field staff, to ensure seamless project delivery
• Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD/Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to produce plans and renderings
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions
• Contribute creative ideas and provide constructive feedback to enhance overall design quality
• Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Develop an understanding of construction methods and detailing to support buildable designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in residential landscape design or architecture
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or Vectorworks, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
